The Five-Day War, the bloodiest experience of my existence
5 years ago, on this night (August 8, 2008) Russian military bombed Georgia and their tanks poured into my country. Though I was still a kid, I remember every detail of that night, night when I experienced the worst time of my life. First bombed spot was about 2 Km’s away from the place I was residing and I can still exactly remember the sound of flying bombs and the town being destroyed. It was a night of fear, fear of death that your fellows and loved ones may die.
Yes, many died. More soldiers and locals were tortured by separatists. Thousands of refugees are still coping with losses, what is more Russian government and imperialistic attitude still mocks my country.
- We remember all those who gave their lives for their country.
- Rip all Georgians and others who died defending their land. Georgian, Russian or whatever.
Abkhazia and South Ossetia was Georgia, is Georgia and will always be the part of Georgia.
